There are projects for which no one will ever criticize you as being a “vanity fair,” as just another shelf filler in a drugstore, as something that’s already been done, or as something nobody really needs…
In this group are specialist projects - ones that let you pleasantly and thoroughly exercise your brain and freely use all the knowledge about raw materials and formulation gained over years and thousands of trials.
One such beautiful challenge, completely free of vanity, was creating - together with Ramp-up - an innovative line of skincare products for runners. It turned out, which is hard for me to comprehend in an era of such health awareness and sports culture, that runners have at their disposal only petroleum jelly, antiperspirant, bath salts, and talcum powder - none of which truly meet their needs. Anyone who has chafed their chest raw during a marathon knows this. Anyone who, after finishing a marathon, has stood in a sweaty yet happy crowd understands that until now there was nothing truly tailored to their problems.
That’s exactly why this project was so exciting: at Countess we had to create something that would genuinely prevent chafing all over the body, neutralize body odor after hours of running, soothe the injuries that occur, and, at the end of the day, make it easier to relax and regenerate tired muscles.
And we succeeded ❤️
